All children who are in reception, year 1 or year 2 in a state-funded school are offered a free healthy school lunch.
Your child will benefit by:
Enjoying a nutritious and delicious meal that will help with their development and education
Enjoying a two-course lunch with their friends, reinforcing vital social skills
Being introduced to new flavours and foods
Enjoying a hot meal during the colder months of the year and lighter meals in the summer
Eating fresh, seasonal produce
Our catering supplier has changed to Chartwells, school Meals are now £2.75 per day.
The process for applying for a special diet has now changed. If you need to do this for your child, please contact the office who will be happy to advise.
Children in other school years will also be offered a free school lunch if their parent is receiving any of the welfare benefits listed below.
It’s important to sign up for free school meals as registering could also raise an extra £900 for your child’s school from central government, to fund valuable support like extra tuition, learning assistants or after-school clubs.
Even if you don’t want your child to receive a free meal, we would encourage you to register for free school meals so that their school receives as much funding as possible!
