At Four Marks CE Primary School, we believe that a strong school is at the heart of a strong community. We are proud to be part of the Four Marks community and value the many relationships we share with families, local organisations, churches, community groups and other schools and services. These connections enrich the experiences and opportunities we are able to provide for our children, while also helping our pupils to understand that they have an important role to play within the wider community.
Our Christian vision encourages us to make good and courageous LIFE choices – showing Love, Integrity, Forgiveness and Equality – and to put these values into action by helping others, caring for our community and making a positive difference to the world around us.
We believe that community partnerships should be mutually beneficial. By working together, we can share knowledge, skills, resources and experiences, support one another and create opportunities for children and adults to learn from each other. Our children benefit from seeing the importance of kindness, service, responsibility and belonging in real-life contexts, while our wider community benefits from the energy, ideas and contributions of our young people.
We welcome opportunities to strengthen these connections and work together to make Four Marks an even more caring, inclusive and connected community for everyone.
We have had meetings with both East Hampshire District Council and Four Marks Parish Council with the aim of seeking opportunities to maximise the services within our local community. This could be working with local providers both in and out of school but also actively promoting the wide range of services available to the community.
The Councils have produced "asset maps" showing the breadth of these facilities and services which we wanted to publicise and celebrate. The Four Marks one is pictured below and also available for download at the bottom of the page as well as the combined Four Marks/Medstead version.
