  • Travelling to and from our School

We operate an informal One-way system at drop-off and pick-up time to ease congestion at this busy time.

At Four Marks School, we like to encourage as many children as possible to walk, at least part of the way (e.g. parking at the village hall and walking from there).  Walking is very beneficial to the children’s health and helps them make a good start to the day.

As you know, the school is situated close to the junction where five roads meet and this area can become very congested.  We have introduced a one-way system that we hope you will use, and thus make the area as safe as possible for your children, and for others.

    This is as follows:

For those using the part of Lymington Bottom from the A31 to Blackberry Lane

      Turn right into Brislands Lane

      Turn left into Gradwell Lane

In Gradwell Lane, park and see your child across the road

Turn left into Lymington Bottom, and home.

For those in Blackberry Lane and all roads off

      Down Blackberry Lane

Turn left into Lymington Bottom and drop off near the junction or

      Turn left into Alton Lane

Park in Alton Lane and see your child to the crossing

      Continue up Alton Lane

      Left into Telegraph Lane

      Left into Blackberry Lane.

For those from Alton, Telegraph Lane or Weathermore Lane

      Turn into Telegraph Lane

      Turn right into Willis Lane

      Right into Hawthorn Road

Turn right into Alton Lane, park and see children to the crossing

Continue along Alton Lane and home.
