Four Marks CE Primary School

Love. Integrity. Forgiveness. Equality.

Our Linked Pre-schools

Due to the growing nature of Four Marks, we take children into year R from a number of local pre-schools, and some further afield. Our two main feeder pre-schools are Heydays Pre-school and Butterflies: Heydays operates on our school grounds, and Butterflies is located in the village hall, a short distance from school.

Butterflies Pre-School Playgroup

About Us

Butterflies Pre-School Playgroup opened in September 2008 and is set in Four Marks Village Hall. We have 2 outdoor areas, one large tarmacked area suitable for gross motor activities, games and running off steam, and a smaller sensory garden which we use to explore the natural world. Our Classroom and tarmacked area both have disabled access.

At Butterflies Pre-School Playgroup, our aim is to help children to be happy and to learn to the very best of their abilities. Here, you will find a nurturing, educational environment for children aged 2-5 years old.  Our staff recognise that each of our children has unique talents, learning styles and personalities.  Our team are highly qualified in Early Years care and are dedicated to working within each child’s comfort zone to ensure optimal social, emotional and educational results.

Parental Involvement….
At Butterflies we believe that parent partnership is key to successful learning outcomes for our children.  We have a parent committee which you can request to join, we hold coffee mornings and have open days and like to encourage parents to pop in and join us for an activity.  Parents are kept up to date with their child’s progress through a variety of media, including face to face meetings with your child’s Key Person.
