Current Guidelines for School Attendance for children and adults with COVID-19:
If you have symptoms of Covid-19:
The legal requirement to self-isolate if you have a positive Covid test has been removed. However, if you have symptoms of COVID-19 you should not attend school.
The flowchart below illustrates the process that should be followed for those with symptoms- Day 0 is the day your symptoms started:
Many people will no longer be infectious to others after 5 days. You may choose to take an LFD test from 5 days after your symptoms started, followed by another LFD test the next day. If both these test results are negative, and you do not have a high temperature, the risk that you are still infectious is much lower and you can safely return to your normal routine.
If you have a positive Covid test but are asymptomatic:
If you are asymptomatic and therefore feeling well enough to attend school you may do so.
