Our Award Winning Early Years Setting:
Our Early Years Team were winners of the 'Laying the Foundations' Award at the Hampshire Education Awards in July 2022: The judge felt that the whole team were outstanding, showing incredible drive, passion and ambition to implement changes in line with best practice based on educational research to back up their vision for the environment. Through diligently sourcing the right items for their setting, they had enhanced children’s creativity and interests, resulting in very high levels of engagement and ultimately consistently good results leaving the Early Years Foundation Stage, as well as growing well-rounded, independent learners ready for their next stage of education.

Visiting our School:
In the Autumn Term we offer tours on particular dates for you to be able to see the school in operation. These will continue to go ahead subject to levels of covid-19 infections within the school. If you wish to book onto one of these tours then please call the school office on 01962 772200 and we will do our best to help.
For parents who are unable to make these dates, or who have recently moved to the local area, we can offer personal tours by appointment. Please contact our school office and we will be pleased to help.

Open Mornings Autumn 2023
Before starting...
We have a planned induction programme that ensures children settle quickly and happily into their reception class and school. A pack has been created that explains exactly what we do in the programme, and this is available as a hard copy from the school office. We also host a new YR parents information evening in the Summer Term so that you can meet the staff and find out the essentials!
The Foundation Stage staff aim to visit all our new children in their pre-school settings during the Summer Term prior to them starting school, as well as visiting you and your child in your homes at the beginning of the Autumn Term. This enables them to introduce themselves and help you get to know them in surroundings familiar to your child.
Once in school, the children have a wonderful time exploring, discovering and learning, largely through play-based activities. We provide a very well-equipped indoor and outdoor environment where children can safely investigate and where carefully selected activities encourage children to experiment with letters and numbers. Every child is different and we promote this uniqueness and help children follow their own interests wherever possible.
